It’s clear that the filmmakers put a lot of thought into this movie, but ultimately it didn't quite work out. There are echoes of other films in this one, though not necessarily direct copies. It seems to be a trend now to create versions of stories previously meant for adults, geared toward younger audiences and women. Complaining about that feels pointless because it’s likely not who this film was intended for. I believe it's primarily aimed at children; otherwise, it would have received a different rating. Still, as with any movie, I decided to give it a chance. Despite the lack of originality, I found myself enjoying parts of it. The plot follows a familiar structure: an introduction followed by the release of ancient creatures into the human world. One character befriends one of these beings, while others pursue it, and still others remain neutral or oblivious to its existence. There are no surprises along the way, and the story concludes with a final confrontation that doesn’t quite live up to expectations. The title is appealing, and the concept has potential; even the visuals weren't terrible, but the action sequences were underwhelming, and the acting was just average. I think it would have been better suited as a television series than a film. If they are considering another installment, they should abandon the idea of a sequel and explore a TV adaptation instead. Aside from my reservations, it’s an enjoyable movie for young children, and they're probably the intended audience. _5½/10_
