The casting choices weren’t all successful; I really think a different performer should have been selected instead of Awkwafina – her presence just grated on me throughout the film. While John Cena seemed well-suited to his part, Awkwafina appeared completely wrong for it.

Awkwafina is, without question, my favorite performer—I consider her to be the absolute best. But this film has given me pause and prompted some doubts about that assessment.
