Branagh’s 2022 black and white movie **BELFAST** is often called his most personal project. I would suggest that his 1995 black and white film, **IN THE BLEAK MIDWINTER**, holds a similar autobiographical quality. It's possible we will even see another monochrome film from him down the road, marking the end of his career and completing what I’m calling the Branagh Trilogy.
