The performances from Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone are quite solid. The character manages some impressive feats of breaking out, reminiscent of Houdini. It’s an acceptable film and I would recommend seeing it.

Escape Plan attempts a clever scheme but never manages to rise above familiar action movie tropes. It brings together Stallone and Schwarzenegger, the iconic duo from 80s action films. It’s been a long time coming, this pairing of Stallone and Schwarzenegger, and thankfully, the scenes featuring both actors together are quite enjoyable. The rest of the film, however, isn't so successful. Ultimately, _Escape Plan_ succeeds because of those brief moments when they share screen time within the prison setting. Final rating:★★★ - I liked it. I would suggest checking it out.

You really need to check this one out! Even though Stallone and Schwarzenegger are getting older, they’re still fantastic. It's going straight into my collection.
