The film didn’t reach its full potential in terms of darkness or emotional impact, and maybe it should have. Nevertheless, ‘Eight Below’ – a reimagining of the 1983 movie ‘Antarctica’ – manages to be a reasonably good survival story. The actors helped me connect with the film more, especially Paul Walker in the central part; he seemed to genuinely share a connection with the dogs, which is essential for the story.…
