I’ve never really warmed up to Aardman’s longer movies. The stop-motion animation quality remains consistently impressive, but the narratives and characters sometimes feel underdeveloped – something that definitely happens with this one. I’ve been a fan of quite a bit of Nick Park’s films over the years. My childhood included _Wallace & Grommit_ and _Chicken Run_, and they still entertain me, however, I suspect certain tastes are needed to appreciate _Early Man_, tastes that I simply don't possess. Final rating:★★ - It wasn’t really my cup of tea, though I can see why others might find it enjoyable.
