It’s a reimagining of the earlier "Dirty Dancing," and it benefits from an improved soundtrack. The dancing is also noticeably stronger. However, what bothered me most was the lack of connection between the two lead performers; they simply didn't click well together, and their chemistry felt nonexistent. Aside from that, I appreciated the new material incorporated that wasn’t part of the first film.

It’s just hard not to measure this against what came before. The actors portraying Johnny and Baby simply don't deliver the same impact; he isn’t convincing as an actor, and she doesn’t come across as a dancer.
