This film holds a special place among my favorite movies; I’ve lost count of how many viewings it has had, and I anticipate watching it once more. Kevin Costner is excellent in his role, though truthfully, every member of the cast delivers a noteworthy performance. It provides a strong understanding of the Lakota people, both then and now. There's a real feeling of reverence present.
