Seeing the longer cut of this movie, I have to admit that any film managing to last for FOUR HOURS without becoming an uninteresting mess deserves considerable recognition. Still, _Dances with Wolves_ isn’t really something I typically gravitate toward, and while I remained engaged throughout, I doubt I'll want to revisit it anytime soon. It's good that Costner understands his craft, but a four-hour movie centered on American history and featuring a prominent romantic storyline simply won’t completely captivate me. _Final rating:★★★ - I liked it. Would personally recommend you give it a go._
