Synopsis

Sam Bowden is a successful corporate lawyer living a peaceful life in a small town, a world away from high-stakes city law. His past returns when Max Cady, a man Sam defended as a public defender and who served 14 years for rape, is released from prison. A mistake Sam made during the trial – failing to present evidence due to Cady's illiteracy – could have secured his client’s acquittal. This error sets up a dangerous confrontation. Now free from prison, Cady is a tattooed, intense man who begins stalking Sam's family. Sam discovers he faces an enemy far more calculating and vengeful than he ever anticipated.
