I’ve never seen a horror film that manages to be as humorous and violent as this one. In fact, it's unique—my spouse is the only person I know who enjoys watching horror movies, and this is the _one_ she chooses time after time (we have the disc and have viewed it together on several occasions). It’s definitely not for those easily disturbed.

It’s hilarious to think about how extreme his earlier movies were! I'm still cracking up at just how shocking those first couple of films turned out to be. It’s amazing to see the evolution in his work. Can you even picture what it would have been like if he directed Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, and King Kong all during that same period? =)
