The film delivers a powerful emotional impact, prompting reflection on personal prejudices and creating a sense of unease. Fortunately, a feeling of resolution arrives eventually. Nicholson’s performance feels remarkably genuine in his portrayal of someone who dislikes most people.

My initial impression was that this film would offer some laughs, but it turned out to be a dramatic story instead. Even so, I found myself enjoying it; though the character is unlikeable.
