While it doesn’t quite reach the heights of earlier X-Men films, it’s still watchable. Jennifer Lawrence simply isn't comparable to Rebecca Romijn's portrayal. Similarly, Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy don't really capture the essence of Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart’s versions of the characters, but thankfully the rest of the cast who were in the initial 2000 film are excellent, as expected.
