Synopsis

The setting for René in Luck’s improbable story is Austria, where he embarked on a venture laden with ambition: a satchel brimming with gold coins, blueprints, and the foundations of one thousand, one hundred and thirty-eight companies. Yet, the ascent of this would-be magnate, known as Benki-Boy, was cruelly curtailed by the intervention of legal authorities – courts and public prosecutors. His fortunes crumbled into bankruptcy, followed by the harsh reality of pre-trial detention.
