Synopsis

*X Factor* is the Italian adaptation of the popular British talent show. Originally airing on Rai 2 for its first four seasons, it moved to Sky Uno in 2011, with repeats on TV8, after Rai discontinued it due to budget concerns. Sky Italia then acquired the format, securing its broadcast through 2024. Beginning with the eleventh season, RTL 102.5 became the show's official radio partner, replacing Radio Deejay and Radio 105. The series has been hosted by Francesco Facchinetti (2008-2010), Alessandro Cattelan (2011-2020), Ludovico Tersigni (2021), and Francesca Michielin (2022-2023), with Giorgia set to take over in 2024. Produced by Fremantle Italia since the seventh season, the show no longer collaborates with Magnolia, who handled the initial selection episodes.
