Synopsis

Joan Rivers recounted that, prior to achieving widespread fame, she and Barbra Streisand shared the stage in an off-Broadway production. After struggling as a club comedian and seeking a return to more artistic endeavors, Rivers insisted on being cast without even reviewing the script. The outcome was a role demanding a love scene between the two actresses.
