A fragile hope descends upon the workers of a modest watchmaker's shop in Manhattan, carried by unseen wings. It is Christmas Eve, and with the fading light comes the news that their livelihoods are forfeit. Their last task, a poignant endeavor, is to restore a broken pocket watch discovered amidst the devastation of the World Trade Center on September 11th, 2001. They must complete this repair and deliver it to the owner's widow by the stroke of Christmas morning.
