Synopsis

The phone rang in the dead of night, summoning Julian to an urgent task: assisting a cow in calving. The delivery, however, proved fraught with difficulty, the well-being of both mother and calf precarious. Meanwhile, Alfie, the blind Labrador, arrived at Skeldale after an unfortunate attempt to pilfer food resulted in him swallowing a spatula.
