Synopsis

Damon's current assignment leads him to Texas, a quest for a cryptic artifact. There, a brutal encounter with Peter Maxwell unveils an unforeseen truth. Separately, Stefan and Alaric, having gained a crucial advantage in their struggle to protect Damon and Enzo, join forces to trace the origins of the enigmatic power arrayed against them. And finally, Matt re-enters the conflict as his past and present unexpectedly converge.
