Synopsis

Damon and Alaric encounter a familiar adversary after acquiring a weapon with the potential to vanquish Cade. Stefan is taken captive by an unexpected figure, compelling him to confront a painful truth from his past. Simultaneously, Caroline and Matt struggle to shield Stefan from the consequences of his violent history. Cade, meanwhile, turns his attention to Bonnie, probing the depths of her mind.
