Synopsis

May 17, 1932. Numerous soup kitchens offer sustenance throughout Chicago, but one in the city's skid row operates as a deceptive facade. Concealed above the modest dining hall is the office of gangster Chiz Gosher, a man convicted twice for white slavery. He is linked to The Group, a powerful, nationwide vice ring, represented by the menacing Vic Cassandros. Gosher’s niece, Ginnie Littlesmith, manages the soup kitchen, entirely unaware of her uncle's illicit activities. Below, Enrico Rossi works
