Synopsis

Shoukei continues to endure the queen of Kyou’s displeasure, a consequence of her father's past reign. Soon after, Kyou’s kirin attempts to reason with the queen, urging her to show Shoukei some leniency, but finds her words fall on deaf ears. Meanwhile, in Sai, Suzu is receiving nothing but kindness from their queen. Lady Riyou arrives at court to speak of Suzu, and Queen Sai declares that she will no longer mistreat the girl, claiming her instead. Incensed by this pronouncement, Riyou departs
