Dr. Samuel Abbott has been abducted while perfecting a wireless laser, its design inspired by the natural processes of light generation seen in fireflies. Steve Austin travels to Spain to locate Susan Abbott, the doctor’s daughter, whose recognized extrasensory abilities are hoped to aid in finding her father. She guides them onward, ultimately leading them to the Everglades, where they discover Dr. Abbott is under the misguided impression that his captors are government agents safeguarding him.
