Synopsis

Karl finds himself increasingly drawn to the world of insects, a fascination that often eclipses other things. He recalls a sharp disappointment upon learning of the octopus’s predatory nature, a sentiment that extends to a desire for alteration in the anatomy of crabs. Yet, his thoughts consistently return to insects; indeed, his diary is largely devoted to their intricate lives and behaviors.
