For Mystery Solvers Magazine’s inaugural contest in London, the group gathers with fellow detectives to solve the Mystery of the Blue Carbuncle. The spectral form of Sherlock Holmes appears, seemingly offering assistance, but his intervention turns out to be a theft – he pilfers the security system blueprints. Consequently, the group is wrongly accused, and they must race against time to clear their names before the consequences become irreversible.
