Synopsis

Gene believes himself to be merely an observer, a guest content to watch the performance unfold from the sidelines. But Kermit, in a moment of frantic inspiration, persuades him to take the stage, requesting a dance lesson. Kermit harbors a secret: a surprise closing number, "Singin' in the Rain." Gene balks, confessing he’ll never recapture the song’s magic as he did in the film, yet he ultimately sings it, privately, backstage.
