Synopsis

Phil’s deception had fractured the community; he was met with stony silence and outright avoidance. Carol, too, harbored resentment toward Erica and Gail. Finally, Phil addressed the group directly, laying bare the truth about several matters, including his long-held reluctance to marry Carol. As a notary public, Carol initiated divorce proceedings. Yet, after a period of reflection, she extended forgiveness and welcomed him back to their neighborhood.
