Weary of Hokey’s persistent theft of his eggs, a poultry farmer constructed a mechanical device intended to rid himself of the troublesome rooster. A short pursuit ensued, but Hokey swiftly demonstrated an unexpected aptitude, reprogramming the very machine designed for his removal and turning it against its creator.
