Synopsis

The play begins with a reflection on Boris Yeltsin. Stephen then engages Eleanor Holmes Norton in a spirited interview concerning the recent bill granting the District of Columbia representation in the U.S. House. In "The Word," Stephen offers his assessment of EPA Administrator Stephen Johnson's declaration that the Bush Administration’s efforts to combat global warming are yielding tangible progress.
