Synopsis

Debailly petitions the DGSE for assistance in procuring Nadia, but his request is denied. He subsequently draws the attention of the CIA by engaging with the Syrians, falsely presenting himself as an American representative. He then takes leave to meet with CIA operatives, a meeting that, as revealed in earlier glimpses, occurred in Episode Two. Dr. Balmes posits that Debailly's actions stem not from affection for Nadia, but from a deep-seated yearning for the clandestine existence he once knew.
