Synopsis
Jethro issued a challenge to his neighbor, Colonel Dumbarton, and a tournament of sorts began. Jed expressed a desire to travel and present the deed to Canada to the Queen. However, Mr. Drysdale persuaded him to remain, promising instead that he would bring the Queen to Jethro. To this end, Mr. Drysdale arranged for Miss Jane to be costumed as Queen Elizabeth the First, and accepted the symbolic document in her place. Jethro, too, was formally knighted during the proceedings.
