In episode 180 of the Angry Video Game Nerd, the titular host tackles *The Incredible Crash Dummies*—or, as he insists, "Crash Test Dummies" (not the nineties band). Published by LJN for the NES, the game draws its inspiration from a cartoon, which itself originated from public service announcements, ultimately modeled after the very crash test dummies employed in automotive safety research. Released in 1993, the NES version arrived as next-generation consoles were already dominating the market.
