I began watching this series with the second season, and I have to say, I'm really enjoying it. The action is great, the actors are easy to root for, and the storyline is solid; there’s a lot to appreciate here. That being said, I wouldn’t suggest it for children because of some pretty intense scenes, but if you're old enough, this is definitely worth checking out.

I recently completed episode four, and this exploration of earlier times feels rather dull. It’s missing something that “Murdoch Mysteries,” which deals with a similar period, possesses. The portrayal of NYC Police Commissioner "Theodore Roosevelt" resembles "Theodore Cleaver" from the old "Leave It To Beaver" show; he's not like "Inspector Brackenreid," who embodies the energy and drive of the real Teddy Roosevelt. …
