Synopsis
For over a century, the Vacek family has cultivated their land in Central Texas, honoring a legacy of stewardship. Meanwhile, North Deer Island, a vital rookery for countless seabirds along the Texas coast, faces a slow and steady erosion, jeopardizing the delicate ecosystem it supports. The work of conservationists – protecting lands, waters, wildlife, and property – is essential, not only for the natural world but also for the well-being of communities.
