Synopsis

The news struck West with a jolt: his brother had enlisted, joining the Corps. He was under the command of a young lieutenant, brimming with ambition and a fierce desire for recognition. This eagerness, however, bordered on recklessness; the lieutenant seemed willing to gamble with the safety of his entire battalion in his relentless pursuit of glory.
