Synopsis

Along the north Kent coast, new crew member Ruth finds herself on board for one of her initial calls to action. Further east, off the Essex coast, the team at West Mersea station respond to reports of a life raft adrift in the North Sea. Ten miles down the coast at Clacton, a midnight call brings them a search for two individuals in the water.
