As Natsume walked toward home, a letter caught his eye on the path. It appeared to be addressed to a man residing nearby, requesting a ride to his school. The man, however, was no ordinary person; he was a youkai, haunted by a past connection with a human girl. He had severed their ties, but she had not yet accepted the ending.
