Synopsis

Driven by a desperate need to combat the opioid crisis, Secretary of State McCord and her team collaborate with the Mexican government to secure the extradition of a prominent cartel leader to a U.S. prison. However, the mission faces unforeseen complications when the leader escapes during transport. Adding to the urgency, a journalist who had secured a gloating interview with the fugitive is found murdered. Elizabeth’s resolve to apprehend the leader intensifies in the wake of these events.
