Synopsis

Con and Rita's home in post-war Preston is a place of faded grandeur, its rooms shadowed and somber. The Greek couple had once envisioned a house filled with the laughter of children, but after years of longing, Con believes a fresh beginning is what's needed. Rita, however, is deeply attached to the house, steadfast in her conviction that a bright, open layout will be all the happiness she requires to remain there, forever.
