Synopsis

The discovery of a young African-American woman's body initially leads investigators to assume the worst – another victim in a grim, familiar series of cases. However, a closer examination of her personal life reveals a stark deviation from the established pattern. Benson and Stabler begin to suspect she may not be linked to the previous deaths. Yet, those earlier cases conceal a connection far more intricate and unexpected than anyone could have foreseen.
