Synopsis

"Knowing Me Knowing You with Alan Partridge" is a satirical look at TV chat shows. It began as a six-episode BBC series in 1995, with a Christmas special following. Steve Coogan stars as Alan Partridge, a Norwich TV presenter who is often more overconfident than capable. Created by Coogan, Armando Iannucci, and Patrick Marber, who also wrote the scripts with Doon Mackichan, Rebecca Front, and David Schneider, the character originated from the radio spoof "On the Hour." Steve Brown composed the show's music, featuring his on-screen persona Glen Ponder as the bandleader.
