Synopsis

Josie and the Pussycats is an animated TV series based on the Archie Comics of the same name by Dan DeCarlo. Hanna-Barbera produced the original show for weekend mornings, which aired 16 episodes on CBS from 1970 to 1972 and was later updated as Josie and the Pussycats in Outer Space. Over six years, the shows were broadcast on CBS, ABC, and NBC. The series centers on an all-girl pop band who tour the globe performing concerts while getting caught up in strange adventures, espionage, and mysterious events. The core members are Josie, the level-headed singer and guitarist; Valerie, the smart tambourine player; and Melody, the somewhat innocent drummer. They're supported by their manager, Alexander Cabot III, his clever sister Alexandra, her cat Sebastian, and the dependable roadie Alan.
