Synopsis

On *The Historical Apprentice*, we encounter a fascinating array of figures from the past. Eccentric Georgian philosopher Jeremy Bentham takes center stage, alongside the opulent Roman politician Crassus, who boasts of his lavish existence in verse. We also witness the recruitment of some rather unconventional soldiers during World War II, and the clash between Johannes Gutenberg and a group of monks, embroiled in a dispute over the burgeoning world of print.
