Synopsis

Oliver was welcomed into the ranks of the Hooterville Volunteer Fire Department on one condition: that he contribute to their marching band by playing a musical instrument. As Chief Joe Carson put it, the department found itself attending more parades than responding to fires these days. A series of patriotic addresses ensued as Oliver embraced his new responsibilities with earnest dedication.
