Following his Bradshaw's guide, Michael steps into the pungent atmosphere of a Victorian tannery. In Nailsea, he uncovers how vast quantities of bird guano fueled the immense wealth of a 19th-century businessman, who then lavished it on constructing churches and chapels, as well as one of Britain’s most opulent country estates. Arriving in Glastonbury, Michael makes his way toward the evocative abbey, a magnet for Victorian tourists eager to hear tales of King Arthur and the Holy Grail.
