Synopsis

Barnabas discovered Stokes's intention to adopt Angelique at the earliest opportunity. Stokes persuaded Roxanne that Barnabas was responsible for Claude North's death. Subsequently, Roxanne attempted to harm Barnabas, but her efforts were unsuccessful. Meanwhile, Barnabas and Inspector Hamilton sought Julia, only to find her asleep and oblivious to their presence.
