Synopsis

Elizabeth intercepted Maggie's impulsive movement toward the precipice. Meanwhile, Barnabas grew wary of Angelique, who was masquerading as Alexis. He fixed his gaze on the portrait of Angelique, and she, in turn, became aware of a presence, a palpable weight of observation that felt like a burning gaze. She fled to her room, and it was then that Barnabas finally understood: it truly was Angelique standing before him.
