Synopsis

Jeb is recovering, yet Nicholas cautions him that his life will be brief. Barnabas discovers that the people have been freed from the Leviathan’s influence. Carolyn accepts Jeb's proposal and agrees to leave with him. That night, she is troubled by a dream in which Barnabas accuses Jeb of murdering her father, then depicts Jeb choking her. Upon waking, Carolyn tells Jeb she cannot proceed with their marriage.
