Synopsis

The painting’s image struck Grant with a sudden clarity, and with it, the memory of Quentin returned, along with the face of Amanda. Mr. Best intercepted Amanda then, informing her that her time had come. She pleaded for a moment more. Mr. Best addressed Quentin, saying that if he and Amanda could escape his dominion without so much as a touch, they would be together for eternity.
