Synopsis

A creeping paranoia seized Paul, intensifying his desire to flee Collinwood. Elizabeth and Mrs. Johnson plotted to incapacitate him with a sedative, but he managed to escape the estate's confines. He collapsed in the woods, unconscious, where Stokes discovered him and conveyed him to the authorities. The police contacted Elizabeth, who subsequently arrived to retrieve Paul.
